2 DAYS 1 NIGHT CHIANG MAI PAI LOOP

Conquer the 762 Curves on an Unforgettable Northern Thailand Adventure, from challenging twists to peaceful pine forests, quiet villages, and mountain vistas. It’s an ideal tour for both thrill-seekers and those who want to soak in the natural beauty of Northern Thailand. 

Skill Level: Beginner-friendly but can be slightly challenging due to the mountainous terrain and sharp curves.

Day 1: Chiang Mai to Pai

Departure: Early morning departure from CBTT Headquarters in Chiang Mai.
We’ll kick off with a safety briefing and check over our motorbikes, ready to take on an exciting ride through Northern Thailand’s landscapes.

Route: Chiang Mai to Pai via the 762 curves of Route 1095 (~130 km, ~4 hours ride time)

Mountain Viewpoints: As we ascend through the mountains, the scenery becomes breathtaking. We'll stop at various viewpoints where you can take in panoramic vistas of rolling hills and lush forests and waterfalls if desired.

Arrival in Pai: Late afternoon arrival in Pai, a charming and laid-back mountain town.

Pai is known for its relaxed, bohemian vibe. It’s surrounded by stunning natural scenery—rice fields, hot springs, and mountains. Once a quiet village, it’s now popular with both backpackers and adventure seekers. It offers cozy cafes, local crafts, and a rich cultural mix of Thai and Shan influences.

Evening in Pai: After checking into your accommodation, there’s free time to explore Pai’s night market and try local street food. You can also visit Pai Walking Street for shopping, or relax at one of the riverside bars. Options to visit nearby Pai Hot Springs if you feel like unwinding.

Day 2: Pai to Chiang Mai (via Wat Chan, Ban Chan, Galyani Vadhana, and Samoeng)

Route: Pai → Wat Chan → Ban Chan → Galyani Vadhana → Samoeng → Chiang Mai (~200 km, ~5-6 hours ride time)
Wat Chan Pine Forest: After leaving Pai, we head south toward Wat Chan. This region is famous for its tall pine trees and serene natural environment. The ride takes us through quieter backroads, perfect for enjoying the tranquil forested landscapes.

Ban Chan Village: A traditional rural village, where life moves at a slower pace. It’s a great stop to experience the local culture and see how Thai villagers live, surrounded by forests and mountains.

Galyani Vadhana District: Named after Princess Galyani Vadhana, this region offers a peaceful ride through rolling hills and small farming communities. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the rural beauty of Northern Thailand.

Samoeng: We continue our ride through Samoeng, another small town famous for its strawberry farms and scenic mountain views. This section of the route is less traveled, providing a more secluded and off-the-beaten-path experience.

Return to CBTT: Late afternoon arrival back at CBTT Headquarters in Chiang Mai.
After a full day of riding through forests and mountain villages, we'll complete the loop, finishing where we started, with a chance to relax and reflect on the stunning journey.
